The agricultural exports of the European Union to Russia show a sustained growth over the past year.

BRUSSELS (Sputnik) – The agricultural exports of the European Union to Russia in July 2017 grew by 104 million euros ($124 million), or by 26.3 percent if to compare with the same period of 2016, the European Commission’s figures said Wednesday.

According to the Commission’s materials, the 28-nation bloc exported agricultural products worth 497 million euros in July.

The EU institution’s figures said that in June 2017, the 28-nation bloc’s agricultural exports also increased by 77 million euros compared with the June 2016 figures.

In line with the July figures, Russia is the fourth largest importer of EU agricultural goods after the United States, China and Switzerland.
