Singer ‘Moby’ says CIA told him to spread Trump-Russia conspiracy theory on Facebook

The musician says his ‘friends’ in the agency asked him to voice approval of the fraudulent ‘dossier’ on Trump’s alleged Russia ties

Having already passed the one year mark, the Russiagate witch hunt and smear campaign aimed at Donald Trump has already gone way past its “best by” date.

I have to follow it for my job, but I am struggling to maintain interest in the mundane mass of insignificant detail which the Leftist-deep state alliance fantasizes proves “collusion” with Russia.

There is enough to criticize Trump on regarding his first year (his Iran policy for one) – but that’s all stuff the establishment agrees with. What they steadfastly oppose (reversing globalist immigration and trade policies, détente with Russia) is why Russiagate was invented.

But one report on the periphery of the Russiagate disinfo campaign caught my attention over the weekend.

We now have proof positive not only of the influence of US intelligence agencies on engineering public opinion through mainstream media (which to be fair, we already knew), but also the extreme gullibility and lack of political intelligence of another popular musician.

The electronic musician with the stage name “Moby” – born Richard Melville Hall – has been quoted in an interview with Kentucky radio station WFPK as saying his friends in the CIA urged him to publicly support the fraudulent Fusion GPS “Trump dossier” to his social media followers.

According to the singer, it was because he has a vastly larger social media following than the CIA itself. (Not to mention, given the agency’s track record, nobody in the general public would believe anything they have to say on any topic.)

FOX News reports the details of what Moby said during the radio interview:

The subject came up after the host, Kyle Meredith, asked the electronic singer about his cryptic Facebook post he wrote in 2017. The post stated that after he spent time with friends who “work in D.C.” he could “accurately post” that the Fusion GPS Dossier was “100% real. He’s being blackmailed by the Russian government.” The post also claimed Trump has colluded “with the Russian government, and has been since day one,” wants to go to war and there are “right-wing plans to get rid of Trump.”

Moby said he wrote the post because his “friends” he claimed are “active and former CIA agents” asked him to “pass on some information.”

“They were like, ‘This is the Manchurian Candidate, like [Putin] has a Russian agent as the President of the United States,’” he told Meredith. “So they passed on some information to me and they said, like, ‘Look, you have more of a social media following than any of us do, can you please post some of these things just in a way that sort of put it out there.’”

Apparently Moby was happy to spread the disinformation, as are countless other movie stars and media personalities. Why?

Probably due to their own insecurity or narcissism, knowing they lack substantial real talent and that their popularity depends on promotion by the elites’ mass media. Positive contacts with “important” and “powerful” people in government offer them another source of self-validation and ego boosting – not to mention job security.

Or they do it simply for straight up cash benefits, like many journalists, as revealed by this whistleblower, a former editor at Germany’s top newspaper.

The FOX article continues:

Moby concluded by saying he did not know if “there was collusion” but “where there is smoke there is fire.”

Meredith and Moby spoke more about politics before ending the interview asking the singer who he would like to see run for president next.

Moby said his dream candidate would be former first lady Michelle Obama.

I’ll be adding “Moby” to the growing list of actors and musicians whose work I will no longer be patronizing due to their vocal support for the totalitarian deep state and various idiotic anti-occidental, anti-civilizational or immoral causes.

Fortunately other than the Jason Bourne theme song, I never found anything by Moby tolerable enough to include in my music library.

But at the rate I am blacklisting stars, soon I’ll be left with nothing but reading the classics of European literature to fill my leisure time.  Maybe that wouldn’t be such a bad thing. I always meant to finish Milton’s Paradise Lost and tackle Goethe’s Faust in the original German.

Here’s hoping the deep state’s acolytes and fake news media keep up their barrage of yellow journalism and fantasy-fueled Russiagate hateful spew. As more people tune them out, eventually, they will end up doing a service to civilization in spite of their best (worst) efforts.
