Two captured Russian soldiers REFUSE to renounce Christianity – MURDERED by ISIS

Already the two men, who were clearly executed by ISIS barbarians for their faith, are being celebrated as martyrs by Orthodox Christians

Two Russian men fighting ISIS as private contractors in a unit called “Wagner’s army” in Syria have been captured and executed by the terrorist group, according to Russian government sources cited by the Daily Mail.

Roman Zabolotny, 39, and Grigory Tsurkanu, 38, were murdered by the radical Islamic terrorists after they refused to read out a statement rejecting their Christian faith and saying they’d joined Islamic State.

According to senior Russian officials, there is a “99% chance” the men are dead:

Senior Russian MP Viktor Vodolatsky said: ‘It is very sad but 99 per cent Roman Zabolotny is not alive, nor is the second prisoner.

‘Before filming that video they were given a statement which they had to read.

‘In this text they would reject their Orthodox religion, reject their motherland, become Muslim and join ISIS.

They stayed loyal to the Orthodox faith and their Motherland until the very end, and this is what they were killed by those gangsters for.’

…A local MP in Rostov-on-Don, Zabolotny’s home city, also confirmed the pair had been ‘executed’, saying it happened the day after the video was made.

‘Unfortunately, this is true,’ said Anatoly Kotlyarov. ‘Information was received that they were executed in a town square.’

One of the men is named in the video as Grigory Mikhailovich Surkanov (pictured). However, he has since been named as Grigory Tsurkanu.

The two men were captured while fighting in the final battles for Deir Ezzor, the last remaining stronghold of ISIS left in Syria.

A third source connected to Zablotny was also able to confirm the executions:

An anonymous friend of father-of-two Zabolotny’s was quoted saying: ‘Last time I saw him he was about to go there.

‘And when this video came out that he was captured, I used my own channels to clarify his fate.

‘He is dead. Those bastards executed him.’

Zabolotny was reported to have been a devout Orthodox believer and went to Syria in order to protect Christians from terrorists.

Shamefully, the UK’s Daily Mail in reporting this story, attempted to smear the reputation of the two heroes by calling them “mercenaries” who “saw action in Crimea and Eastern Ukraine.”

That’s despite the fact that western soldiers serving in such units are normally called “private contractors” by mainstream media – not “mercenaries.”

And if it is true that the men served in Crimea and Donbass, they would have performed the same role there that they died doing in Syria – protecting human life from radical extremists.

The pair were held by the jihadists around Deir Ezzor, the last ISIS stronghold in the country. One of the men is named in the video as Roman Vasilievich Zabolotny (left)

Zabolotny and Tsurkanu are clear heroes who laid down their lives to protect the innocent and eliminate an evil scourge from this planet.

They’re also modern day Christian martyrs who continued to profess their faith even when threatened with a gruesome death.
