Russia and Syria discuss destroying hotbed of international terrorism

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov discussed with Syrian Ambassador to Russia Riyad Haddad the situation in Syria and preparations for a meeting of the intergovernmental commission, scheduled for early October, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement Friday.

“During the conversation, the sides exchanged views on the development of the military and political situation in Syria, including taking into account the task of completely eliminating the hotbed of international terrorism in that country.

They also discussed preparations for the next meeting of the permanent Russian-Syrian commission on trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation, scheduled for early October,”

the statement said.
