Putin talks Middle East, anti-terrorism efforts with Iranian FM

MOSCOW(Sputnik) – Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif the situation in the Middle East and the fight against terrorism during talks in Russia’s Black Sea resort of Sochi on Wednesday, the Kremlin press service said.

“The situation in the Middle East was discussed, in particular in Syria, Iraq and the Persian Gulf region, as well as issues of combating terrorism,”

the press service said in a statement posted on Kremlin’s website.
