Putin: Saint Petersburg store blast was terror attack

Russia’s president has officially stated that the bombing which injured over a dozen was the work of terrorists

Russia’s president has spoken on the subject of a bombing in Saint Petersburg, Russia’s second largest city, which left thirteen people wounded.

Vladimir Putin has officially labeled as a terrorist attack an improvised explosive blast which was set off at a busy supermarket on Wednesday. The explosion was said to be equivalent to 200 grams of TNT.

According to RT, five of the eight victims that remain hospitalized are in “intermediate” condition, while the rest are in satisfactory condition.

Authorities say an investigation is currently underway.
