How anti-Russia sanctions affect global trade

Three years have passed since the US and the EU decided to impose sanctions on Russia over its alleged involvement in the Ukraine conflict. Russia has repeatedly denied the accusations.

The European Union and the United States imposed several batches of sanctions on Russia. In response, Russia introduced a food embargo against those states involved in exerting sanctions pressure on Moscow.

In reality it appears that the sanctions are harming all sides in the dispute. Imports and exports have decreased, trade turnover has gone down.
