Hillary Clinton EMBARRASSES herself, recalls Putin’s WW2 story, confuses Stalingrad for Leningrad

Hilary Clinton’s speech at the 2018 India Conclave was catastrophic for her, she clearly learned nothing about what actually happened during the election. In her latest speech, she was caught famously repeating the mistake of her “deplorables” comment, insulting the American people, and also proved she knows nothing about Putin.

While her disastrous comment:

“I won the places that represent two-thirds of America’s gross domestic product… So I won the places that are optimistic, diverse, dynamic, moving forward. And his whole campaign, ‘Make America Great Again,’ was looking backwards.”

…was the rightful focus of much criticism, causing even Democrats to distance themselves from her, one thing that flew under the radar is how it seems she utterly botched a story about Putin’s parents during the Great Patriotic War.

In this expert from the video below, she says:

I wrote about a story he [Putin] told me, at a dinner in vladisvostok – you can’t make this up – in the fall of 2012, about what happened to his parents, during the seige of what was then Stalingrad.

Well it seems, Ms. Clinton, that you either paid literally NO attention whatsoever, to President Putin, or that you DID, in fact, make that story up. Putin’s parents both survived the Great Patriotic War (WW2), but they were citizens of Saint Petersburg, which was then called Leningrad. Stalingrad, which Clinton called it, was/is a completely different city, now called Volgograd, and far away from Leningrad.

It is a well-known fact that his brother perished during the siege, and his father participated in the defense of Leningrad, and found his mother living among the corpses. The suffering of his family was like something you only hear in stories in the west, but this type of suffering was very real to Russian and Slavic people during the Great Patriotic War. Putin’s father, Vladimir, joined a small sabotage group under the People’s Commissariat for Internal Affairs (NKVD), whose mission was to blow up bridges and rail lines near St Petersburg (then Leningrad), the Russian president recalled in his column in the “Russian Pioneer” journal. Of the 28 members in the group, 24 died in battles with the Nazis near St Petersburg.

One day, German soldiers were chasing them in the woods. Putin’s father survived because he hid in a swamp for several hours.

“And he [Putin’s father] said that, when submerged in the swamp and breathing through a reed, he heard German soldiers passing by, just a few steps away from him and he heard dogs barking.”

“When he [Putin-Sr] came to the house, he saw the medics were carrying corpses. And he saw my mother. He came closer and it seemed to him that she was breathing. ‘She’s still alive!’,” he told the medics.

They insisted she would soon die, but he refused to listen to them, and instead attacked them with his crutches.

“And he took care of her. She lived,” the Russian president wrote. His parents died at the end of the 90s.

Even the NYT knows Putin’s family is associated with Leningrad, and suffered there during the war. Now, unless Putin told Hillary a Top-secret story which the world has yet to hear of, Occums Razor (the most likely conclusion, is probably the correct one) dictates the aging erstwhile secretary simply confused the word Stalingrad for Leningrad.

Someone will have to read her book in order to find if she actually wrote Stalingrad there, or if her editors caught the error, if she made the same mistake in print.

It is very likely that in the middle of her trip, and long speech, she simply confused the two cities, so it would be easy for some to say “Be easy on her, it’s an honest mistake.”

It is understandable that mistakes happen, but this is a microcosm of the West’s ignorance of Russia. The events of the Great Patriotic War are sacred to Russians, it was a Podvig (feat) of the Russian People, the defense of the Motherland, and subsequent annihilation of fascism, thereby saving the human race from a dark fate.

The Great Patriotic War is NOT. SOMETHING. YOU. EVER. FORGET. Russian people would sooner forget the strength of their right arm, than forget the Great Patriotic War, and the Heroes who defended the God-Protected Fatherland.

While Stalingrad and Leningrad may sound similar to foreigners and those not familiar to Russia, this is a mistake that an expert should NEVER make. This would be as bad as thinking Asia and China are two separate continents, or that Japanese people are Chinese.

Anyone that considers themselves as having remote knowledge about Russia should have been able to instantly detect the error here, let alone a Secretary of State.

Hillary Clinton is someone the deep state constantly touts as being an expert with so much experience on the world stage, yet making a casual mistake with regards to Putin’s family – moreover – the Great Patriotic War, is something that betrays either her hatred of the Russian people, her ignorance of Russia, or the fact that she paid little attention to, or didn’t actually care about Putin’s likely heartwrenching story – if he even told it to her. More likely, all of the above.

If someone wishes to lead dialog with Russians, let them at least learn the basics first.
