Beautiful Russian figure skaters set TWO world records in 15 minutes at PyeongChang, winning gold and silver

Alina Zagitova and Evgenia Medvedeva made the world cry out of envy at the beauty of their performances

Alina Zagitova twirled, spiraled, and vaulted ahead to victory in the ladies’ short program at the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang receiving an amazing 82.92 points.

That alone is a world record, but what will truly go down in legend is how she beat the world record set moments earlier by her comrade and teammate Evgenia Medvedeva.

That means Russia set TWO world records in less than 15 minutes, which has to be a world record in and of itself.

Zagitova ended up winning one of two gold medals the Russian team managed to bring home from PyeongChang. While Medvedeva stood beside her on the champions’ podium to claim silver.

You’ll love this clip of Zagitova’s performance on the Russian version of Youtube, and if you speak Russian, the words of the beautiful music will touch your soul as well.

All there is left to say is: Dance Russia – and may the world cry at the incandescent light of your beauty! Slavsya!
